In the new video
"Too Little, Too Late," pop/R&B teenager
JoJo is taking a soccer player to task for talking and flirting with other females. Could this be based on a true story? JoJo has been dating
DC United soccer star Freddy Adu for a little over a year now, but apparently everything seems fine. In a recent interview with
Sports Illustrated, Adu gave up the goods on their relationship.
“I met her through a show on MTV called
Fake ID Club. She was hosting it, and I was just joking around and I said something in the camera like, 'I'm single. Call me up.' Next thing I know she gets my number and calls me. I'm like, 'Whoa!'” Adu told the magazine. “So I started talking to her. We started dating May 14 last year. It's been fun. She was recording her album all of this year, and it's a pretty cool experience being in the studio and seeing how all that stuff works, going to the
Teen Choice Awards with her and seeing that aspect of Hollywood life. It's so different from how our world works as athletes. We've had a lot of fun together. Her new single's out right now, and she used soccer in the video.”
So everything is fine then? Swell.
Jeter Thinks You StinkWell, he probably doesn’t think you stink but he wants you to smell like him. Last week
Derek Jeter signed a deal with Avon Inc. to release his own fragrance called “Driven”.
"I have been very involved with creating this fragrance -- everything from the blend of scents to the design of the bottle and logo," Jeter said in a statement. "I did have some help, however. Because women buy a large percentage of the men's grooming products sold in the U.S., I asked my mother Dot and sister Sharlee to be part of the project. I wanted to make sure the final product was something men would like to wear -- and that women would want them to wear."
The scent is a blend of chilled grapefruit, clean oak moss and spice. Doesn’t sound too musty. Look for the cologne to hit stores in November in time for Christmas shopping.
Kobe launches Vivo FoundationFirst
Kobe Bryant plays video games and basketball with sick kids for a whole day for the
Make-A-Wish Foundation, now he’s trying to send Black and Latino college students to Italy in an all-expense paid field trip. Aww shucks, what’s up with all the nice guy moves? We can’t hate him if he keeps doing this stuff!
The trip is part of
Vivo El Mondo, a program from Kobe’s recently launched
Vivo Foundation where he’ll offer different opportunities to people who need financial assistance to help make their dreams come true.
"This is really exiting for us to be able to have the opportunity to do something like this," told the Associated Press. "(With) me growing up oversees and being exposed to another world, another culture, another way of life, to be able to open those doors to someone else is special."
Doesn’t he have a ball to hog somewhere or something?
Randy Moss and Inta Juice go racingRandy Moss is really into this
Inta Juice thing. He joined the smoothie company earlier this year and has already opened a couple of stores, one where he was serving customers. Now Moss and the Inta Juice crew are teaming up with Haas CNC Racing to sponsor the #66 Inta Juice Chevrolet driven by
Jeff Green. Moss will have his image plastered on the side of the car, making the first time and NFL player’s image has ever been on a NASCAR Nextel Cup car.
"I'm very excited for this opportunity to spread the word about Inta Juice," Moss said in a statement. "I'm playing in the Hall of Fame game later that night, but I'll be checking out the race as much as I can. Jeff (Green) is a championship driver and will give us a good ride. I've never been on the side of a race car before; I just hope my hair stays in place."
Too bad Green came in 29th place in Sunday’s race. But hey, at least the Raiders won, right?
No More Shark Fin for YaoYao Ming announced last week that he’s giving up shark fin soup. The Chinese delicacy is one of the most popular dishes in China, but conservation group
WildAid say that the fins are cut from sharks that are thrown back into the sea to die. Ming joined WildAid last week to help create awareness of endangered sharks.
"Endangered species are our friends,” Ming said at a press conference. “As the human population increases, many wildlife species are decreasing, and the primary reason is that humans fail to treat animals as friends.”
Ming will also appear in commercials to help protect sharks and other endangered species like elephants. But can he protect a fragile
Tracy McGrady?
