NBA.com
has enlisted a few NBA players to keep blogs over at the website to kind of give an inside look at the life of a professional ball player. The website tapped
Jerry Stackhouse(Mavericks) and
Chris Kaman(Clippers) to keep up blogs, but it’s been
Gilbert Arenas(Wizards) who has been giving us the most updates. He talks about everything from struggling on the road to the new uniforms and even trying to get a Playstation 3.
“Man, I couldn’t get it,” Arenas wrote at his
blog.
“I stood outside no hours and got nothing.
That’s when you sit in your room and try to use your celebrityism. I didn’t get nothing. I knew I should have called and said I was D-Wade. ‘Um, hello, this is
Dwyane Wade… This is
LeBron James … Can I come over there and get one of them?’ Then I would have had one.”
Maybe it's good he didn’t get that PS3 so he can concentrate on getting the Wiz off their little slump.
Brand’s Movie Trailer Goes OnlineDuring the off-season Clippers’
Elton Brand was going around the country promoting his new film production company,
Gibralter Films. The project getting the most attention is “Rescue Dawn”, the story of an American prisoner of war in Vietnam who plans an escape. The film stars
Christian Bale (Batman Begins) and
Steve Zahn (Sahara, National Treasure) and is looking to hit theatres in March. The trailer was just released at the Gibraltar Films
website
but unfortunately Brand won’t have much time to help promote it.
"Elton is very excited about the project and all the accolades thus far, but he is concentrating on bringing a championship to Los Angeles for Clippers fans," Brand's spokesman, Ron Berkowitz, told the New York Daily News. "Basketball is the priority right now."
Well, after the whipping the Nuggets put on the Clip-joint on Sunday, let’s hope so.

Junior Seau’s Foundation Gets a Big LiftEven though
Junior Seau
is done for the season due to an arm injury he suffered on Sunday, he’ll be staying busy with his foundation. Late last month, the
Junior Seau Foundation
was given a $900,000 donation in Fujitsu technology and services. The donation was part of a $30 million technology grant program designed to benefit and serve the technological needs of community-based and non-profit organizations nationwide that are selected by a third party consulting firm.
"I am honored and humbled that the Foundation has been selected as a beneficiary of this technology grant program and that it will receive nearly $1,000,000 in Fujitsu products and services," Junior Seau said after receiving the donation. "This demonstration of confidence in my organization's ability to deploy the technology grant through our network affirms my belief that corporations and individuals can support the Junior Seau Foundation and be assured that their generosity is used wisely to benefit the youth and community of San Diego."
For years, the Junior Seau Foundation has been handing out scholarships and building support programs in the San Diego area.
