Michelle Obama

She's no former President, but excellence is no stranger to Michelle Obama, who has two Ivy League degrees and savvy for days.

Meet Michelle Obama

      Bill Clinton

      Bill Clinton

A former U.S. President (twice), Bill Clinton is as loved as he is detested. Will he be an asset or hindrance to Hillary?

      Clinton's Legacy

If a Democrat named Obama or Clinton clinches even the Democratic nomination in 2008 it will be revolutionary. The paradigm of white male hegemony will forever be altered in American politics. Now that their spouses have "announced," we look at their better halves in a head-to-head -- the power behind the throne.

          Name: Michelle Obama
          Age: 43
          Sun Sign: Capricorn
Born & Raised: Born and raised on Chicago's South Side
Present Residence: Kenwood section of Chicago, IL
Education: B.A. cum laude graduate of Princeton University; Law Degree from Harvard
Present Occupation: Vice President for Community and External Affairs at the University of Chicago Hospitals
Family: Married to Barak Obama, with two daughters, Malia Ann and Sasha
          Celebrity Twin: Oprah Winfrey
Special Powers: Her social prowess -- many credit Michelle for giving Barack inroads into the influential African-American community of Chicago ultimately getting the relative outsider elected to Congress
Possible hindrance: She's an intelligent black woman -- this makes some people uncomfortable
Degree of Separation: All four have law degrees -- the Clintons from Yale, the Obamas from Harvard
Shades of Blackness: An extremely driven girl from the South Side of Chicago, Michelle represents the best of Black America and what can be acheived with hard work and smarts
Possible pet causes: She currently sits on six boards and any of them (i.e., Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools ) could be a cause she takes up as first lady
Future occupation: President of the United States

          Name: William Jefferson (Bill) Clinton
          Age: 60
          Sun Sign: Leo

Family: Married to Hillary Clinton, with one daughter, Chelsea
          Celebrity Twin: Michael Douglas
Special Powers: His people skills are legendary -- so much so that he may have to fall back to help Hillary shine
Possible hindrance: Bill Clinton is as hated as he is loved; the same furor that people love him with is equally matched by those who would rather eat ants than have another Clinton in the White House
Interesting Tidbit: Both Clinton and Obama were Rhodes Scholars at Oxford University
Shades of Blackness: Given the moniker "the first black president" by Toni Morrison, Clinton techincally may have beaten Obama to the punch

Future occupation: President. Uh, been there done that!
