Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg's eyes are always red, which is one sign of allergies.

We’re going to pretend we haven’t heard Snoop Dogg’s continuous references to “mary jane” in his music. Maybe his red eyes are a result of his allergies acting up.

    Did You Know?
More than 50 million Americans, according to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, suffer from allergic diseases that cause red eyes, itching (nose, mouth, throat, skin, etc), coughing, and many other annoying symptoms. Allergies happen when your immune system overreacts to an environmental substance.

If you’re experiencing any of the above conditions, here’s a list of four tips to help you get through the watery eyes and sneezing.

    Natural Remedies

    Spicy Food

Eating spicy foods is a great way to open blocked nasal passages.

      Tip 1: Close the Window
With gas prices soaring, it’s easier said than done, but turn on the air-conditioner (at home and in the car) if you can afford to. This will limit your pollen intake, which triggers allergy symptoms.

      Tip 2: Clean Your House
Dust mites, debris, and unknowns blowing in from the outdoors could be making matters worst. Frequently mop, wax, and dust your home to prevent a sneezing fit.

Tip 3: Stay Away From …
Common foods that provoke episodes are milk, fish, nuts, wheat and eggs. If you’ve noticed that any of these foods cause illness, check with your doctor and explore healthy alternatives to ensure you don’t become deficient in calcium or protein.

      Tip 4: Ask a Doctor
Hey, we’re not physicians over here. Find an allergy specialist who can advise you on your specific allergic condition.
