LaVan Davis plays Curtis, the self-anoited king of his castle who looks forward to spending nights with his queen, Ella, played by Cassi Davis. Ella is the queen of the male-dominated Payne household.

Jazmine Payne

China Anne McClain plays the baby of the Payne household, Jazmine. She is full of sass, spunk and mischievous grins. She is also quick to speak her mind.

CJ Payne

Allen Payne plays CJ, a passionate husband and father of two who is challenged with keeping his sanity and humor alive when tragedy strikes his immediate family, and he is forced to move his family into the home of his Aunt Ella and Uncle Curtis. Although he loves his uncle, who raised him after his father’s death, it is hard for CJ to accept his parental guidance and outrageous methods of discipline.

Malik Payne

Larramie Shaw plays Malik Payne, the eldest child of CJ and Janine. He is sensitive yet mischievous, and frequently leaves his great uncle Curtis asking "Why me?"

Calvin Payne

Lance Gross plays Calvin Payne, the only child of Ella and Curtis Payne. Calvin seems to always have a hustle, and it primarily involves eating and washing his clothes at his parents’ house for free. Much to the annoyance of his father and confusion of his mother, Calvin is forever changing his college schedule and makes them wonder if he ever goes to class.
