Though there have been some blips on the radar screen including a complicated influx of Katrina victims, a resounding World Series loss and increased notoriety for codeine and promethazine use, H-Town's hot streak shows no sign of slowing, especially in music -- producing more platinum than a South African quarry.

Rapper Chamillionaire, who hails from the city of candy-colored cars, creased jeans, screwed music and ''syrupy'' drinks, stands next in a line of successful H-Town-bred artists that did damage to music charts this year including Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Lil' Flip and Slim Thug.

After years of hustling mixtapes for the infamous Swishahouse label and a well-publicized falling out with his former partner in rhyme, Paul Wall, Cham's latest, 'The Sound of Revenge' drops Tuesday, Nov. 22. He goes off topic with BV:

Oprah is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her show. What would you want to go on 'Oprah' to talk about besides your music?

Anything besides music? Probably nothing. I want to hear what Oprah got to say. Some business tips from Oprah, that's what I want. Because everybody knows her story and that intrigues me more than my story.

Make a million dollars fall into my pocket (laughs). Actually, I wouldn't cast a spell on nobody. I'd keep it the way it is.

If you were governor or mayor of Louisiana, would you have handled Katrina differently? How?

I would've done something with them 200 buses that were under the water. [Mayor Ray Nagin] spent a lot of time complaining about everybody else, but there was some transportation in the city when the storm was coming. So I think he could've done a little more on his part.
