Richard Smallwood
Not only is he bestowed with scores of awards (8 Grammys, 11 Stellars, 3 Doves, an NAACP Image and a Gospel Hall of Fame inductee), but composer/arranger/pianist Richard Smallwood was also honored by the Smithsonian as a "gospel innovator." Smallwood's compositions have been covered by Whitney Houston, Destiny's Child and Yolanda Adams.
