
Bond is back in a big way. But this is not your mother's James. This, at times, not-so-secret agent is more English bulldog than British epicurean. Stout and full-featured (nostrils always at the flair) Daniel Craig is a far cry from the lithe, thin-lipped Pierce Brosnan. And just as well. The times call for a scrappier Bond; one with maybe a bit more democratic pedigree whose arrogance is indelicately perched on his shoulder. Think Robert "The Wild Wild West" Conrad daring you to knock the battery off his deltoid in commercials of years gone by.
