How would each of you celebrate a real life "last holiday" and who would you bring along with you?
Paramount
Live from your laptops, LL & Latifah rap about romance, room service, bowling, beauty and their 'Last' wishes
LL Cool J: I would probably spend my last holiday at home, with a lot of time in front of the altar. Trying to get my soul right. The other part of it would be spent with a pen and paper and a camera trying to empty out my soul and my mind of everything I've ever learned and every experience that I've ever had for the benefit of my children and future generations. And a lot of friend chicken, a lot of ice cream.
Latifah: I think it would be much of the same, definitely spending time with friends and family. Some little fun challenge, even something as simple as white water rafting, or a little cruise on a little boat in the Caribbean. I don't know, somewhere where we've never been, maybe we'd all go to Africa or India. Just experience one thing together as some last experience.
Why is 'Last Holiday' a great date movie?
LL: It's classy.
Latifah: It's very classy. And it's saying, "Hey, you better go out and live, do the things that your heart desires, try it, life's not promised." So you know even if you took a girl out on a date to this movie it might inspire her to say maybe I will take a chance on this guy.
LL: Every little bit counts, you know? First date, wrong restaurant, you lose a lot of points. Take your girl to a movie that she will definitely enjoy. Pick the right restaurant, do the right movie, make sure transportation is correct. Just make sure you guys understand how you're going to be traveling and everybody is clear. If it's the subway, pick a clean car.
Latifah: Pick a clean car. Perhaps not next to someone who is smelling drunk and funky.
LL, your character is quite nervous when it comes to women, would you say this role was a challenge for you?
LL: No, not at all. You know, I've never been the kind of guy that approaches girls. I've never been comfortable with that. I've never been in a relationship with a girl where we weren't introduced. We met through someone or we just kind of started off talking about something else. Although people would think because I do the videos and I'm running around with the shirt off and all this different stuff, they would think that it's something different but it's not. I'm really not a ... a hound. I'm a little more on the shy side.
You also are a sex symbol. Would you take credit for so many of today's rappers being fit?
Latifah: He might not want to say it so let me go on and jump in. Hell yeah they definitely getting ripped because he's still ripped to this day! And he's still setting the bar. [Rappers] see that there is a benefit to not just appealing to guys and spitting the hardest rhymes but also appealing to women -- we buy records too -- and we appreciate our stars like everybody else. So I think he was one of the first to respect that women want someone to look at and enjoy too. And so they are all trying to be there. They may not say it but they are definitely trying to be there.
