Making History in Harlem, Again

Thousands of loyal fans poured into the streets of Harlem and surrounded the legendary Apollo Theater as they waited for a chance to view the body of James Brown. The diverse crowd of black, white and brown faces from America and abroad was a true reflection of the incredible influence that the Godfather of Soul had on not only the music industry, but the world. And as the throngs buzzed with eager anticipation for Brown's body to arrive via horse-drawn carriage, Black Voices spoke to individuals in the crowd about why the music and Civil Rights era legend meant so much to them.
