A picture of the real Darky Toothpaste, circa 1900s - 1980s. Primarily sold overseas, the name was changed to Darlie. However, in Asia it still sells as "Black Man Toothpaste." (Hodcarrier Films)

Sambo Axle Grease, circa 1870s - 1920s. There were many other products advertised with Sambo including a restaurant chain that finally closed in the 1980s. (Hodcarrier Films)
'Coon Chicken Inn'
An actual photo of the image that was used for the Coon Chicken Inn, circa 1920s -1950s. The Inn was a successful chain with franchises in Salt Lake City, Seattle, and Portland. The entryway was the mouth of a grinning black man in a porter's cap. (Hodcarrier Films)
'Niggerhair'
A picture from the film, Niggerhair Tobacco, circa 1870s - 1950s. The B. Leidersdory Co. of Milwaukee, WI, produced Niggerhair tobacco. Decades later the name was changed to Biggerhair. (Hodcarrier Films)
