BV Buzz has the scoop on Sherri Shepherd's scandalous divorce and her guest-hosting stint on 'The View.' There's also New Year's resolutions from Nashawn Kearse, Datari Turner, April Woodard and Daz Dillinger.
Scorned ViewActress/comedienne
Sherri Shepherd is guest-hosting ABC's 'The View' all this week. The full-figured funny woman is rumored to now be the frontrunner to replace
Star Jones Reynolds on the daytime chat fest. Rumors aside, during a post-Christmas appearance on the show, Shepherd gave viewers hilarious insight into her recent divorce while promoting her new standup DVD, 'No Refund No Exchange.'
"It's a collector's item because I am divorced now. Divorce is always awful, but I know there is a God because he's not dead: I didn't kill him. When you find out your husband cheated it's…you know," Shepherd began.
The former star of the ABC sitcom 'Less Than Perfect' said she couldn't disclose who her husband, actor
Jeffrey Tarpley, cheated with because of legal complications. "I can't tell 'cause it would affect the outcome of the restraining order she has on me," she explained. And if you think she's kidding, Shepherd reassured: "No I'm not!"
Shepherd, who also starred in 'Beauty Shop' and 'Guess Who,' said she discovered her husband's infidelity when a computer message popped up during her personal Bible study. "Let me tell you something, I don't know if anyone has ever had your man cheat on you, but there's a feeling. When I found out, I was sitting on my bed and I was having my Bible study and the thing on the computer was blinking, which is why as I good wife I checked his computer. You got to know the computers. I checked it and pictures came up. And I remember I closed my Bible and I said, 'Lord, cause you not going to be able to handle what's about to go on in the next room.' There's a feeling, when you find out someone has been with your man you ready to go cause some havoc," she said.
It gets better! "As I was standing over my husband I was looking for something to bash his head in because he was sleep-and I'm serious because you got to know the rage I went through-there was a lamp. We had a lamp from this little cheap store and it was too light to hit him in the head with it. That's when I realized why people buy antique lamps because it has a heavy base. You can crush a skull with an antique lamp," said Shepherd.
But Shepherd, a devout Christian, said her relationship with God really helped her cope with the rage she felt. "God kept saying to me, 'Don't kill him because you are going to jail!' I was like, 'I'm fine with going to jail, if that's my calling.' I have a baby, but you never think about that kind of stuff when you in the middle of stuff like that. I listened to the Lord and I didn't."
What she did do however was make a trip to the bank while her husband continued to sleep. "I went in pajamas, because I had my pajamas on, and I went to the bank to withdraw all of the money from the account. And you know what's so funny? I went to the bank and I don't have my hair on and I'm in these pajamas, and I said to the lady, 'I need to get all of the money out of the account and we have different last names.' She said, 'Ma'am you have no I.D., I can't give you the money.' I said, 'Look lady, I found out my husband cheated with another woman!' She said, 'How much do you need?' She gave me all the money! All of the money," laughed Shepherd.
In the end, the couple split and despite the fact her husband cheated on her, Shepherd was the breadwinner in the family and she's the one having to pay him child support. They share a son,
Jeffrey Tarpley, Jr. "Why do I have to pay? Because my husband and I are both actors and because I had more, I had a stable job and I made more money, I have to pay. I have to pay child support," she explained.
Her other option? "Kill him and make him go somewhere. I'm not advertising murder! Its just for me!"

Can't Say Names…
What R&B crooner is having trouble in paradise? Source tell me that this singer, once a popular bachelor who's now married with children, has been messing around on his wife with one of the co-stars in a production he recently appeared in. Rumors of rocky times with the couple had been circulating for a while and this might possibly cause the two to actually split this go around.
