Putting in Work in Harlem

For the Workaholic in You
If you find that you just can't go a whole weekend without an electronic fix, well … some might say that's pretty sad, but Harlem's still got your back. For all those who have e-mail to check, wi-fi connections to make, faxes to send or photocopying to do, stop by Café e-Go on Frederick Douglass Boulevard. Established and managed by Andrea and Ronald Stephenson, this internet café is housed on the street level of a large house of worship, the United House of Prayer (Café e-Go is a nonprofit business), but you can't miss its big sign and awning outside. If you're one of those clueless types, you can ask most anybody from the 'hood and they'll point you in the right direction. Café e-Go is an old-school café, meaning it serves coffee drinks, juices, pastry, smoothies and other café fare and it offers comfy chairs to sit in while you sip. Café e-Go is on the small side at the moment, but Ronald Stephenson (a techie who can school you on T-1 connections and who monitors his own upgrades) is planning the café's expansion as you read this. Best of all, Café e-Go has reasonable rates ($4/hr), which are also broken into half-hour increments ($2/half-hour) for whatever quick and dirty work you just gotta do.
